Lensly app · Effective October 8, 2026
Summary: Your photos, videos and albums stay only on your phone, unless you tap “QR code for video” yourself to share a photo booth video (stored temporarily for 3 days, then deleted automatically) or “Share album by QR” (VIP; the album pages are stored temporarily for 5 days, then deleted automatically). Lensly has no accounts and does not sell your personal data. Ads appear only when you yourself tap “Watch ad” (to create more QR codes after the month’s free ones run out, to get a seasonal gift such as the Halloween gift, or to earn coins; see section 4).

1. Who is responsible

The app is developed and operated by Lensly (“we”, “us”). Privacy contact: support@lenslycam.com.

2. Data the app processes and where it is stored

DataUsed toWhere it is stored
Camera imagesTake film-style prints and photo booth strips; when Live is on, record a few seconds of silent video around the moment of captureThe app’s storage on your device; temporary Live footage is continuously deleted, and only the clip attached to a photo is kept
Your phone’s photo librarySave the photos you take to the Photos app; (iOS) group them into a “Lensly” album if you allow itYour phone’s Photos app
Photos you pick from your library (“Photo from library”)Apply film colors, adjust colors, add a frame. Photos are picked through the system photo picker, so the app sees only the photos you chooseEdited photos are stored on your device or in the Photos app; the original is not changed and is not uploaded
Position of faces in a photo (only when “Smooth skin”, “Slim face” or “Bigger eyes” is on)Right after capture, the app uses the face detector built into your device (Apple Vision / Google ML Kit) to find the skin areas to smooth and the cheeks, jaw and eyes to reshape, avoiding the eyes, eyebrows and lipsNot stored, not sent anywhere. Used only while processing that photo and then discarded; it does not identify anyone and does not create biometric data
Captions, notes on the back of photos, albums, decorations, favorite photosDisplay in the appLocal database on your device

Color adjustment settings (brightness, contrast, warmth, saturation) for each photoDisplay the adjusted photo and let you readjust itLocal database on your device
Coin balance, items redeemed in the Shop, number of ads watched for coinsShopOnly on your device (and in your device’s backup if you turn backup on)

The app does not collect: your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, browsing history or health data. We do not use your photos to train artificial intelligence.

2.1 Face data (Smooth skin, Slim face, Bigger eyes)

3. Device permissions

The app asks for permissions only when needed: Camera (to take photos) and Photos (to save photos to your library). Picking an existing photo (“Photo from library”) uses the system photo picker, so no library read permission is needed. The app does not use the microphone: Live clips are silent. You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your phone’s Settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

Notifications (only if you agree): the app schedules its reminders on your device (a new event, gifts about to expire, gifts on special days, daily Tet envelopes, a nudge when you haven't shot in a while, on this day) from the event dates and the dates of the photos stored on your device. There is no notification server and nothing is sent anywhere. Turn each kind, or all of them, off in the app's Settings → Notifications or in your phone's Settings.

4. When the app uses the Internet

Apart from the photo booth strips and albums you choose to share by QR code, your photos, videos, captions and albums are never sent to our servers.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data. When you tap Share, the photo or GIF is passed to the app you choose (Messenger, Zalo, Instagram…) under that app’s policies. When you create a QR code, the video is stored temporarily for 3 days as described in section 4.

Face data (section 2.1) is never shared with anyone and never leaves your device.

6. Retention and deletion

Data stays on your device until you delete photos or albums in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app deletes all of the app’s data (photos already saved to your phone’s Photos app remain there). Videos shared by QR code are deleted from the server automatically after 3 days; to delete one sooner, open the photo → “⋯” → “Remove QR link”. The app has no accounts, so there is no account data to delete on the server. Subscriptions are managed in your App Store / Google Play account.

Face data (section 2.1) is not retained: it is discarded as soon as the photo has been processed.

7. Security

Data is stored in the app’s private storage area, protected by the operating system. Sticker downloads use HTTPS. Please use a screen lock on your phone to protect your photos.

8. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. In-app purchases by children should be managed by parents through the parental controls of Apple / Google.

9. Your rights

Under Vietnam’s Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection and other applicable laws, you have the right to be informed, to consent, to access, to correct and to delete your data, to restrict its processing, and to withdraw your consent. Because the data is on your device, you can exercise these rights yourself in the app and in your phone’s Settings. For any questions, please write to support@lenslycam.com; we reply within 30 days.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app starts processing data in a different way (for example by adding cloud backup or crash reporting), we will update this page and its effective date, and notify you in the app when the change is significant.
